Just below and under the rear bumper of all Classic Mini Saloons (sedans) is a panel called the 'rear valance.' As this is on the bottom edge of the rear of the car and slightly hidden by the rear bumper this panel is often overlooked. But as it is also right behind the rear wheels it also sees a lot of water and dirt, and thus ALSO rusts! Spot welded in place this relatively simple panel is easy to replace!
