Reproduction left-hand fuel tank, 9.0 U.S. gallon capacity. Used in Classic Mini Saloons (sedans) from 1974 until an unleaded tank with a restrictor valve was introduced, and before fuel-injected models. Can be fitted to any Classic Mini up until the fuel-injection models (SPi/MPi).

Uses Mk2 and later twist-to-lock sending unit AHU1029 (sold separately).

NOTE: 9.0 gallons (U.S.) is equivalent to 7.5 Imperial gallons.

I have a 1972 Mark 3 Innocenti Mini Cooper 1275cc. My gas tank is currently on the left hand side, but I would like a larger tank. I have the 5.5 imperial gallons (I think 6 us gallons). Would this fit my car and what else do I need for it, to do the conversion over to the 9 gallon tank?
