Left-hand 6.6 (U.S.) gallon tank that accommodates twist-in sending unit (not included); as used on classic Mini Saloons from 1964-1980. Not for Riley Elf or Wolseley Hornet, as they utilize a different tank neck.

Exceptions also include the 1275GT from 1974, which used the later 9 gallon tank that became standard fitment to all Classic Mini Saloons (sedans) 1980-on. This tank takes a twist-in sender unit, whereas the earlier tanks (pre-1964) had a screw-fitting tank unit. This tank is held on by two straps whereas the 9 gallon tank had a single visible strap across the middle.
