The late model Classic Minis were converted over to a much smoother operating clutch setup. The "Verto" clutch, as it is called, also uses a different plunger in the flywheel housing to hold the throw out bearing. This aftermarket release bearing plunger is as used on all Classic Mini "Verto" clutch setups except for a few very early 1000s using the long clutch release arm.
