Dr Mini.. what ever happened to Moke America mouth piece.. Allegedly.  he was that was all about how moke america would win the trademark MOKE..  funny thing. Moke America signed off any ownership to the trademark MOKE and Moke International  now has the MOKE trademark according to www.ustpo.gov website. today.  plus Moke America has NOT shipped even any LSV since 24 march 25 according to www.panjiva.com. and some of the moke america dealers have said they have NOT got any mokes from Moke America since Jan 2025/.  trouble in paradise ??

Final price from Moke America??? You mean, what Moke America is telling their customers to get a deposit? I doubt they will ever get import any to sell, but hey, take all the deposits you can get before you close the doors...

more good news from Donnie..  He has added another whopping 100% import tariff on all chinese goods..   these will make the import tariff a mere 284.5 % to import a chinese EVs..   Looking forward to see the final price now of the Moke America MPVs.. 

I have been approved to import 325 all Alloy OEM mokes in 2025    the first ones will be EVs. with the petrols coming in 2026 ( I hope).  they will be MPVs and will cruise at 55 MPH and have 80 mile range with Lithium batteries..    Price will be $50k USD. thanks to the 200% or so tariffs on chinese Evs / Chinese goods..

I rented a real Moke on Magnetic Island, Australia. Even though there are only maybe 5 miles of roads, it was still an experience, as were the rock wallabies.

just to answer Ve9aa question.. the engine is Chery SQR 472.. is MY petrol mokes.. I only sell the  5 speeds now..  the autos have gremlins  with the shifting . the AMT shifter has to be replaced along with TCU unit to correct..   and mine are $35k USD. and will cruise at 65MPH...fyi..  the new mokes from Moke Int are MPV EV unit..  that will cruise at 55 MPH  80 mile range..   the new EV Mokes are $42k..USD  sure everyone would want to know WHY Pia.. micks road mgr and I are in touch.. seem Mick Jagger showed  up my  local Dive bar . the thirsty beaver  in charlotte before his gig in 2021.. and I contacted Pia to send mick a dozen Thirsty beaver tshirts for FREE.. I drove a CHOKE in the Cayman Islands a year and a half ago, and although advertised at the Rental Car agency as a real MOKE (or maybe just MOKE-I don't recall) it was a weird experience.

 

Having never been in and/or driven a real MOKE, I am not sure how much we were "shorted" of the classic experience, but it was quite a bit different than driving my classic Mini or any other vehicle I've ever been in.

 

It was some kind of Chinese gas engine, something around 1L Wuhu Volibear so I don't know if this is the same as "MOKE INTERNATIONAL" or not.

 

Pretty peppy. but the (auto)_ Transmission had issues shifting.

 

It was certainly very MOKE-like (I think?) ! (but I sure wish it had been the real deal. ) In the low to mid 30's (Celsius) and fairly low speed limits there, it was the right tool for the job.

 

There's no way I would pay 20 or 25K for a Choke however.
